Volunteer Position(s) of Interest

Volunteer Positions

Artist Booth
Three (3) adult volunteers (no one under the age of 18 please) will be needed to sell Artist merchandise. This should be someone with cash-handling experience. All Artist booth volunteers should be prepared to work throughout the concert. At no time during any of the performances should the tables be left un-attended! Volunteers should arrive at least 60 minutes prior to doors opening which is at 7:00pm to assist the tour merchandise manager with set up. All sellers should be prepared to sell merchandise for one hour before the concert, during intermissions, and for thirty minutes after the concert. Following the conclusion of sales, the volunteers will assist in the disassembling and packing of merchandise and displays.

Festival Staff Tent
Answer questions regarding NRV Autumn Fest and help with miscellaneous admin duties. Volunteer must possess professional attitude and skills. Hours/days of Operation: Saturday 8am - 10:30 pm

Flex Crew
Flex Crew is a crew that meets at the staff office each shift and is assigned to whatever area is in need of extra help that shift. So, wherever you are needed, you are sent. This is a fun way to see how different areas work around the festival.

Grounds Maintenance
Grounds Maintenance Volunteers are crucial to providing pleasant surroundings for festival attendees by keeping the bathrooms clean and stocked, empty all trash cans, and maintain policing of the festival grounds during the event.

Load In and Load Out
We need six (6) able-bodied volunteers (minimum 16 years of age) to assist with load-in, and set-up of Artist s back-line gear, merchandise, etc. This position requires the person to lift 40 – 50 pounds without pain or injury. All volunteers are to arrive at the venue fifteen (15) minutes prior to the load-in time as designated 48 hours prior to the event by NRV Autumn Fest Staff. The volunteer crew will be dismissed at sound check, but will be needed again following the concert for load-out (approximately 1 hour).

Prayer Tent
This is a position for those with experience in leading others to Christ as well as praying for anyone needing special prayer throughout the event. NRV Autumn Fest will have a special tent for attendees to seek prayer from our event volunteers.

Security
This position is responsible for security of all stage areas including but not limited to the Artist’s equipment and backstage areas. Eight (8) adult volunteers (no one under the age of 18 please) required to work in this role. Duties may require individual to direct traffic, help maintain and control a safe and friendly environment during concerts. This position requires that you be alert and able to stand on your feet for up to 10 hours.

Set-up Team
Set-up Volunteers help get the festival grounds ready for the festival to begin. Crews include Stage Crew to set-up the stage, Technical Crew to get all the “technical” things ready, various crews to clean the bath houses and restrooms and many other pre-festival tasks.

Stage Crew
Help load and unload equipment on NRV Autumn Fest stages. Individuals must be able to lift 40 to 50 pounds several times during the day. Stage Crew will take directions from Production/Stage Manager during the event. As well these positions will assist in all stage change-out of equipment. Stage Crew will be required to present at the NRV Fairgrounds 2 hours prior the event start time.

Tear-down Team
Tear-Down Volunteers help tear-down and clean-up after the festival is over. Many people are still needed for this job, and all are welcome to help. This job involves tearing down the stage, collecting trash, gathering tables and tents, and many other duties.

Technical Services
Licensed electrician and carpenters are needed.

Will Call/Greeter/Wristband Exchange
Help distribute pre-purchased tickets to participants and comp tickets to media, employees, and artists’ guests. Distribute parking passes to vendors and artist guests.

Alternate Stage Crew
Alternate Stage Crew Volunteers are the stage crew for the Afternoon Stage. They assist in unloading band gear and setting it up for the band’s performance.

Transportation
NRV Autumn Fest will require one (1) runner be available from the scheduled load-in time until load-out is completed. Note that this runner is to be for the sole use of the Artist/Producer. The volunteer will receive all instructions directly with the Road Manager of the Artist. The Runner should remain at the venue on call to transport any member of the tour staff to and from the hotel, music store, department store, etc. throughout the duration of the event.
